What is TED and TEDxSingapore?

 We reach out to inspire people to learn, share and engage close conversations about ideas that have the potential and power to make a difference in our lives, in our world and in Singapore.  We  connect curious souls and people who love and value ideas. We share ideas worth spreading from Singapore with the world through the global TED community, and serve as a focal point for the TED community and TEDsters who live in and visit Singapore.   We operate under a not-for-profitl licence from TED to independently organise TED-style idea events in Singapore.

What is TEDx?  In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organised events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. TEDxSingapore organises idea events throughout the year, where x=independently organised TED event. At our TEDxSingapore events, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection.  The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organised.
