All of us at TEDxSingapore are "Co-Creators" (not "volunteers" because there is no institution we volunteer into)

We organise "Idea Events" open to everyone in Singapore: These can be large-scale (hundreds of people) events or smaller ones that include live speakers, screened TED Talks, casual community gatherings, meetings with TED Speakers or TED Fellows, and other event types yet to be imagined.
TEDx events worldwide and in Singapore are run non-commercially and community-created by passionate TED fans, co-creators, supporters and sponsors.

Talents and experience sought in:
1) Content + Presenter Relations
Roles:
- Find great talents, experiences, stories and ideas in Singapore for the TEDx stage, locally and globally
- Seek presenters, speakers, performers, musicians, talents, and content like videos/film
- Work with presenters to deliver TED-style Talks
- Build community of TEDxSingapore presenters
Range of skills:
- Good network of contacts in Singapore to find presenters, ideas and stories, especially if you're a journalist
- Expertise and experience in working with people to craft great presentations.
- Skills in visual communication of concepts, data, slide design
2) Community Care and Connection + Marketing
Roles:
Connect, engage and care for Singapore's idea and TED Community.
Create community activities that are fun, interactive, meaningful.
Invitations to events, Community welcome, ushering, safety, feedback.
Range
of skills
- Event organisation and management
- Love connecting people and building community
- Interactive technology and Web 2.0 social networks
- Online and offline marketing planning and implementation.
3) AVTechnology + Internet
Roles: HD video filming, lights, sound, livewebstreaming post-production
Tremendously important roles to enable the spreading of ideas that can inspire around the world for all time.
Range of skills:
- Video filiming, lighting, sound recording experience
- Technologically savvy, e.g. internet webcasting
- Pro-amateur or professional photographers with your own digital SLRs
4) Design + Production
Roles: Design and production
- Design entire look and feel of every TEDx idea event
- Design and produce digital and non-digital assets: event programme, eDMs team T-shirts, etc
- Design and produce creative videos, animation clips, etc.
Range of skills:
- Design skills, print, offline, online.
- Adobe photoshop, illustrator etc.
- Writing skills.
5) Partnerships + PR
Role:
- Find partners and sponsors and built great relationship with them.
- Drive media and PR initiatives.
Range of skills
- Good network of contacts in Singapore to find and build relationships with partners.
- PR expertise, experience and media contacts.
6) Venue + Stage + Space
Role:
- Find great venues, design stage
Range of skills and your strengths that would suit these roles:
- Love people
- Love spaces (interior design / architecture knowledge would be great)
- Good network of contacts to find interesting and suitable venues
