Become a TEDx Speaker, Deliver an unforgettable Talk
TEDxSingapore seeks speakers for our Idea Events held throughout the year.
seek people who will inform and inspire, surprise, delight.
We look for innovative and influential individuals to present, speak or perform.
They could be thinkers or doers, or both.
They could be performers in the arts, have an inspiring story or interesting life experiences to share. They could be people who started innovative organisations, invent world-changing devices, create ground-breaking media, or pioneered social change. They could have a new way of looking at things or done something that made a difference.
They coud be geniuses, icons, famous, or not at all. We consciously seek emerging artists, scientists, thinkers and pioneers, introducing them to the TED Community in Singapore and in the world, well before they hit the mainstream.
Above all, TED is about passion, laughter, beauty, ingenuity and ideas with the power of changing the world.
Know someone who belongs among them? Tell us who they are...
Use this nomination form to recommend someone you know.
(PS: It only takes one nomination. Multiple nominations do not influence the choice of speakers.)
About speaking at TED and TEDxSingapore
TEDTalks are extraordinarily effective at spreading ideas. Yours could be one of them.
We invite speakers to "Give the talk of their lives" in 18 mins or less. TED has found that a carefully prepared presentation of this length can have astonishing impact.
Our Talks are distributed online to be shared with Singapore and world.
Some of our Idea Events are simulcast LIVE Globally, and the whole world from Wellington to Wisconsin to Warsaw will watch your Talk.
TED could also choose your Talks for TED.com, where most are viewed by over 200,000 people and some by several million. In total, TED Talks have been viewed more than 500 million times worldwide. This exposure has transformed the careers of many TED presenters and performers, either by introducing them to larger audiences or recasting them in a new and thoughtful light.
This isn't a typical conference talk. The TED community and audiences have high expectations of speakers. We will work with speakers in advance to help them shape a presentation of high impact. Rules for speakers include a ban on "selling from the stage" (no plugging your company or organisation), and a strict enforcement of the clock.
We do not pay speakers, but we're committed to creating an experience that's tremendously fulfilling and beneficial on all sides.
